Quarter Zip Cooning. Having their cake and eating ours too

Quarter Zip Cooning. Having their cake and eating ours too

A 1st or 2nd generation Ghanaian immigrant from the Bronx started a trend based around wearing quarter zip sweatshirts, drinking matchas and hoping white people give you a pat on the head or a butter biscuit.

Tethers created the name and concept of “YN” and in the same fashion as the white supremacist that they aspire to be. They’re now attacking the YN strawman that they created. They’re trying to have their cake and eat ours too. They used the cleaning up the YN narrative as a way to get motion and the second that the white mans mainstream media reached out for an interview the creator backed out the biggest Ghana flag he could find and starts talking about how much he’s proud to be Ghanaian and all that jazz.

In the early 2010s there were a bunch of 1st and 2nd generation immigrants that were going into and coming out of college and there main goal was to get a job but not just any job they wanted to get Token pet Tether positions. Part of these immigrants beginning their adult journeys in America was to OTHER themselves from Foundational Black Americans and they did that by turning the Nike Tech sweatsuit into a proxy for Foundational Black American men/ society. Their alternative to the Nike Tech sweatsuit was a bunch of corny outfits that consisted of high-waters, weird hats and the notorious brunch boots or brunch loafers with no socks. It’s 10 years later and now their little brothers and cousins are back attacking Black society via the Nike Tech sweatsuit. The only difference is that this time their weapon of deception for what they’re really trying to accomplish is a quarter zip and a cup of matchas rather than those bum ass brunch boots.

The mainstream media has been welcoming, friendly and have co-signed the creator of the quarter zip movement. The dominant society and the mainstream white media is never in agreement and never co-signs any organic productive, constructive, empowering grassroots Foundational Black American movements, trends, organizations, or individuals and with that being a historical fact everyone should look at this movement for what it is.

This quarter zip movement is basically a bunch of Tethers trying to audition for a token overseer position on whatever political plantation will hire them. White supremacist are very smart and they know when they have a harmless Token that’s ready, willing, and able to do their bidding and that’s why the creators and the main participators all have foreign flags in their bio.

A lot of Foundational Black Americans have been responding to the quarter zip movement by saying that they as individuals been wearing quarter zips or that we invented danddyism. As true as all that may be we shouldn’t miss the point in addressing this movement for what it is. People love seeing Black men particularly FBA men being passive. The creator and the primary participators of this movement aren’t former wayward street Niggas that are deciding to take the straight and narrow. These are Tethers looking to OTHER themselves by any means necessary in hopes of getting some white love.

Facts! These the same people that will stand around wearing a quarter zip, and sipping a matcha while a Daniel Penny lynched a special needs Black man. Actually they’ll probably jump in and help![](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0618/3793/4758/t/1/assets/mj7yy9tyfl1lrbzzz6i_1200x.jpeg?v=1765852444)
